Steve Whitcraft

His expertise in the construction business and project leadership has led to $4 billion dollars in project volume and over 8 million square feet of construction. He has developed key lessons from experience in preconstruction with Mass Timber.

In his role as Turner's Preconstruction Manager of Austin, Steve manages all estimating and procurement functions required during preconstruction. He is responsible for overseeing the entire design development efforts as well as client development, and project strategy. Steve is a strong team player and he enjoys sharing insights while encouraging and guiding others.





Steve holds a bachelor's degree, and a Master of Architecture Degree, from the University of Michigan, is a Certified Design Build professional (DBIA), an Associate member of the AIA, a Certified Professional Constructor (AIC), a Certified Healthcare Constructor from the American Hospital Association (AHA), Evidence-Based Design Accreditation and Certification (EDAC) from the Center for Health Design and holds a Healthcare Construction Certificate from the American Society of Healthcare Engineers (ASHE). Steve lettered in lacrosse at Michigan, earned Junior Maine Guide certification and played drums in several bands.

Steve is a Texas native, having lived and worked in several metropolitan cities within the state. When he can, Steve and his wife, Ann, vacation with family regularly, making annual family visits in Southern California, Maine, and Chicago.
