Charles Whitney

Charlie is responsible for developing and overseeing short and long term strategic plans that affirm Turner’s position as one of New York City’s largest and most trusted construction service providers. In this capacity, he oversees a portfolio of projects across various industries and provides executive oversight on matters related to Turner’s operational, financial, and sales initiatives. A consummate construction professional, Charlie began his career with Turner in 1988 as an engineer. In the following years, he was promoted to positions of greater responsibility in the New York office, including Project Executive in 2006 and Construction Executive in 2012.

Charlie has been an integral member of Turner’s sustainability programs, leading the way as sustainability manager, green codes, and local law 97 task force. In addition to his day-to-day executive responsibilities, Charlie manages a diverse portfolio of construction projects across New York City, including Lower Hudson Valley & Westchester, and Long Island. Completed and ongoing projects include Columbia University Business School, Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital, Rockefeller University's Stavros Niarchos Foundation–David Rockefeller River Campus, and the award-winning David H. Koch Center, constructed on behalf of the NewYork-Presbyterian
