To mark Turner’s 119th anniversary, the company is making a difference in local communities by providing food and support to people in need.

On Turner Construction Company’s 119th anniversary of its founding, employees across the company are providing food and support to people and communities in need.

Everyday millions of children and adults do not get the meals they need. A short-term loss of income could be enough to plunge a family into food insecurity. Among other things, the COVID-19 pandemic has led to the greatest need for food ever seen.

Turner employees are getting creative in an effort to safely support the need for food in communities during the week of its Founders’ Day. Turner employees are making a difference by participating in food and supply drives, building and designing community pantries, sandwich-making competitions, catering hot food via local food trucks, providing gift cards to grocery stores and fresh markets for military veterans and their family members so that they can buy food, and so much more.

“By providing food and support for those in need, we are fulfilling our mission to be an active community partner and actively care for others,” said Karen Sweeney, senior vice president. “This connects our people; creates opportunities for relationship building in our communities; and reinforces the values in which Turner was founded."
