Turner Awarded Porsche River Oaks Facility for Sonic Automotive

The client’s trust in the company has been earned through the hard work and dedication of the team after their successful delivery of Momentum BMW — Sonic Automotive’s newest dealership. In a message to Turner leadership, Martin Walsh, Vice President Facilities Development for Sonic Automotive said, “Some of the highlights from my point of view include safety, planning and scheduling, coordination, attention to resolving plan conflicts and ability to keep the project moving was some of the best I have witnessed in 24 years in this business,” said Walsh. “This team never flinched and displayed agility and know how that quite frankly is really missing in our industry unfortunately. You should be very proud of this group.”

Additionally, the effort up front from the preconstruction team was recognized as they responded quickly and with great detail to every change and request from the client, providing necessary information to drive important decisions for their program.

The team is scheduled to begin work on the 165,500 square foot facility in September 2020. The Porsche dealership will feature a large showroom, detailing and service center, and a five-level parking structure. Completion is scheduled for January 2022.
