Turner Construction Presents $45,000 Check to Benefit Patients of National Jewish Health

January 10, 2014

Patients at National Jewish Health will be able to breathe easier thanks to the $45,000 donation Turner Construction raised at their 7th Annual Turner Open Golf Tournament held on August 27, 2013 at The Golf Club at Bear Dance. The check was officially presented to Dr. Michael Salem, CEO of National Jewish Health, at an afternoon ceremony in their Molly Blank Atrium.

National Jewish Health is a local non-profit hospital known worldwide for innovative treatment of patients with respiratory, cardiac, immune, and related disorders. According to David Giordano, Director, Development and Major Gifts, “These funds will be used by National Jewish Health to fulfill their 115 year old mission of caring for the sick regardless of their ability to pay, researching the diseases they treat and educating the next generation of doctors and scientists.”

The 2013 Turner Open sold out with 144 participants and 41 corporate sponsors. Turner credits much of the support for this tournament from their platinum and silver sponsors including Johnson Controls, RK Mechanical, Drake Williams Steel, Douglas Colony Group, and Siemens. Tournament Director Emily Mays stated, “On behalf of Turner Construction, I can’t thank our tournament sponsors and participants enough for their tremendous generosity and support of National Jewish Health. We set an ambitious fundraising goal and I am very proud to say we surpassed it thanks to this benevolent community.  We had a lot of fun teaming up with National Jewish and are looking forward to the next tournament.”
