On Founder's Day, the Turner India team visited the MBA Foundation, a life-skill development center for differently-abled children in Mumbai.
The foundation helps differently-abled kids by providing basic life skills like computer training, and sheltered workshops where they make and pack simple items of daily use and cloth bags, vocational training to develop fine and gross motor skills through various activities like painting, and quilling. The kids also earn a stipend that helps them lead a life with self-esteem and dignity.
Turner India provided a meaningful impact by providing much-needed attention, love, and care, and encouraged the kids by being a part of their daily activities and training sessions.
Truly, one act of kindness can create hope, comfort, and a sense of belongingness.
In association with Chintan Environmental Research and Action group, we distributed cloth shopping bags to 302 families in Chanakyapuri with the objective of encouraging people to use these sustainable bags for shopping rather than plastic one-use shopping bags that are popular in the area
The team also conducted an awareness session during the distribution of bags among the community members.
The initiative truly resonated with Turner's pledge to support environmental sustainability on-site construction water use and greenhouse gas emissions.
The employees of Turner India participated in serving the community by distributing the essentials like groceries, medicines, warmer, and other requirements for 3000 homeless, abandoned, and special kids who are sheltered in the Delhi Council for Child Welfare, PALNA.
In addition to distributing the items, our colleagues spent a day with these kids while watching the performances and joining the PALNA little superstars on stage for some moves.
Indeed, a wonderful day was spent with these little kids!
Engaging in CSR activities in animal welfare is a powerful way to demonstrate commitment to ethical and sustainable practices.
We collaborated with Charlies' Animal Rescue Centre to provide state of the art medical care to injured and ill stray animals. A place where they could be housed, given timely medical aid, rehabilitated, and re-homed.
It was fun to contribute to creating a more compassionate and humane world.
