These eye-catching 10-story towers serve as a gateway to the Alexandria Center in Kendall Square. Standing adjacent to the Charles River, the buildings consist of mixed-use lab, office and retail space, a mechanical penthouse, and six levels of below-grade parking. The towers are designed to provide state-of-the-art facilities for innovative technology and life science users, while simultaneously supporting public and retail functions at the ground level. The 907,000 sq. ft. project was built using the up-down construction approach, with the substructure and superstructure built simultaneously, and features one of the deepest garages in Cambridge. This project received LEED Gold Certification, as well as “Regional Best Project of 2017” by Engineering News Record. The project also boasts a terraced facade comprised of glass windows, rain-screen wall systems, metal panels, and louvers. Turner also completed the fitout of to clients within this building, Sanofi and 2Seventy Bio.
