Turner School of Construction Management
The Turner School of Construction Management, developed in 1975, is a program that supports small business owners by offering free classes on a wide variety of topics including construction site safety, technical skills, administration and effective management. Through events related to the 10-week course, Turner offers students networking opportunities and the chance to build relationships with larger construction firms.
In partnership with the Governor’s Office of Minority Affairs at Stevenson University and at Prince George’s Community College, the Turner School of Construction Management in Baltimore graduated 70 small business owners in 2011. Turner began offering the program locally in 1988.
