Federation Towers - Vostok Tower Tops Out

December 18, 2014

The Turner team at the Federation Towers – Vostok Tower project in Moscow oversaw the topping out of the second -- and taller -- of the two Federation Towers, celebrating the pouring of the last structural concrete cube, 364 meters above the ground.

Thanking all past and current project team members, Glenn Collins, project executive, added, “We have faced challenges on this project. We’ve been through ownership changes, fires, the 2008 financial collapse and more. But the continued presence of Turner International has always been the stabilizing factor. Here's to the final push.”

The topping out generated excitement in the Russian press, as the tower is now the title of Europe’s tallest building. Federation Towers is a 400,000-square-meter, mixed-use, high rise development designed to house offices, retail areas, a five star hotel, and luxury apartments upon completion.

The complex includes a 63-story tower and a 95-story tower, together on a common podium. The upper levels of the 95-story tower will include the hotel lobby, restaurants, and a public viewing platform while the 63-story tower will feature the hotel spa and swimming pool. The lower levels will contain retail shops and restaurants as well as the hotel’s ballroom, and conference and events center.
