Completed in April 2012, the Health Center & Administrative Facility for Community Health and Social Services (CHASS) in Detroit is a 48,000 square foot facility has doubled the number of exam rooms, tripled the number of healthcare providers and enables CHASS to double the number of patients it can serve. In addition, CHASS now offers wellness programs for the general public, ensuring that the Center becomes a destination for Detroit residents seeking healthy lifestyles.

In 2012, CHASS was named Green Project of the Year by the Construction Association of Michigan. In 2013, the Engineering Society of Detroit (ESD) named the CHASS project an Honorable Mention in their 39th Annual Construction & Design Award Contest. This is the fifth industry award that CHASS has won. Previous awards include:

  • CAM Magazine, 2012 Green Project of the Year
  • Construction Real Estate Women (CREW) Detroit Chapter Impact Award
  • American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Michigan Section, Quality of Life Award
  • American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Southeast Michigan Chapter, Quality of Life Award

The project is seeking LEED certification.
