Turner provided construction management agency services for the residence hall as part of the Phase 1 implementation of the Alabama A&M University’s master plan.

The project involved the construction of a four-story, 175,000 square foot residence hall with 572 beds that are spread throughout a mix of single, double, and double-suite rooms. The residential complex is located on Meridian Street next to the University's Wellness Center. The project team also built a cast-in-place concrete storm shelter in the basement of the residence hall. Turner worked successfully with Alabama A&M University and the project team to ensure minimal disruption to campus operations during the construction process.

The residence hall is one of the most significant capital improvement to the Alabama A&M University campus in several years. Completed in late summer 2018, the project was immediately followed by Phase 2, which included façade repairs and interior renovations to the existing McCalep Hall.
