The renovation of the Compass Center facility involved renovating the 77 Building – the five-story, century-old facility that was heavily damaged during the 2001 Nisqually Earthquake. A hygiene center and bank was renovated and reopened. In addition, twenty-three apartments for low-income tenants were added to the 2nd - 5th floors of the building.

The project included construction of a 42,000 square foot building on the parking lot directly south of the existing facility. The new 210 building is now home to a large commercial kitchen and dining room, commercial laundry facility and chapel. Floors two through five of the facility consist of 78 units of transitional housing for men. The top floor houses offices for the Compass Center. The five-story addition and existing building are connected at the basement and first floor.
