The New Century Adult Detention Center Phase II project consisted of a 150,000 square foot, 526-bed jail expansion. The beds are of several inmate classifications, including administrative/disciplinary segregation, maximum security, special needs, which are all single occupancy and medium/minimum security, which house eight inmates. The project also included the renovation and expansion of administrative space and employee locker rooms, program space, circulation space and mechanical/electrical/plumbing components.
