The University of Texas at Dallas Founders Project is a renovation of the 40 year old building. It is a three-story, 129, 700 square foot facility that contains science labs, classrooms, lecture halls and faculty offices.
The building structure is perimeter grade beam and precast T’s with top deck of concrete. The foundation is drilled piers and perimeter grade beams. The exterior wall is precast concrete panels with windows at set intervals. The roof system is a built-up system with gravel ballast.
Though renovated, the building still reflects the original design of a 1970’s “Texas Instruments” precast office structure with metal framed windows to preserve its history.
