The Massachusetts General Hospital, Lunder Building project is a 500,000 square foot new inpatient building located on the Massachusetts General Hospital campus. Approximately 170,000 square feet of buildings will be demolished to make way for the construction.

Building two will increase emergency department capacity by 16,000 square feet and will add 16 same day surgery and interventional radiology suites, 28 operating rooms, 22 ICU rooms, 128 patient rooms as well as a 35,000 square feet combined Radiation/Onclogy Department including eight new linear accelerators. The project also includes a new Central Sterilization Department and loading dock facility which will serve the entire campus.
