The Genzyme Biopharmeceutical Manufacturing Facility is a 186,500 square foot biotechnology manufacturing plant with process systems for the manufacturing of parental pharmaceuticals. The framework is structural steel with metal deck and the exterior is a combination of brick masonry, glazing, and louvers.  The building is capped with lead coated copper on the slopes and a membrane roofing system on the flats. Systems include media prep, cell culture, purification, clarification, fill and finish and packaging.

The project was completed on an ultra-fast track schedule of 19 months.
