MSA Cranberry Building G Addition

Expanding MSA’s Footprint in Cranberry Township

This project included construction of 18,650 sq. ft. of new manufacturing space, a new vestibule, and a new loading dock. The construction of the new manufacturing space tied into the existing MSA Building G facility and required three punched openings to connect the existing building with the new expansion space. Existing site landscaping, concrete sidewalks, and site utilities were removed and re-worked to accommodate the new expansion. The structure of the building consisted of shallow foundations with a steel beam / column framework and a combination of joist girders and roof joist to support the roof. The exterior of the building featured multi-colored masonry which will complement the nearby buildings. The MEP portion of this project included a mechanical system with two new RTUs and two new DOAS located on the roof. Electrical and plumbing systems tied into the existing building and were routed to the new facility.
