Turner Construction Company Celebrates Topping Out of First Tennessee Bank Building in Hill Center Brentwood

July 21, 2016

Turner Construction Company today held a topping out ceremony to celebrate a major project milestone at Hill Center Brentwood: building to its tallest point the frame of the center’s second office building. First Tennessee Bank will be the marquee tenant and will occupy 31,000 square feet of the three-story, 96,000-square-foot structure.

First Tennessee Bank plans to move into the building in spring 2017. The bank will house approximately 100 employees at the new location, while maintaining its Middle Tennessee headquarters in downtown Nashville. TMPartners will occupy 12,000 square feet of the building. The architecture, interior design and planning firm will open its new office with approximately 40 employees in fall 2017.

Key players in the project’s development kicked off the event by gathering on the top floor to sign a column. These individuals included:

  1. Carol Yochem, President, First Tennessee Bank, Middle Tennessee
  2. Jimmy Granbery, Chairman and CEO of H.G. Hill Realty Company
  3. JP Cowan, Associate Principal of TMPartners, architect of the building
  4. John Gromos, Vice President & General Manager of Turner's Nashville office

“First Tennessee is proud to be part of such a significant project at the Hill Center,” said Yochem. “This wonderful location will be a significant resource for both our employees and our customers in Williamson County.”

“It’s exciting to see Hill Center Brentwood coming together. We are honored to have both First Tennessee and TMPartners as tenants in this new building. We look forward to the Hill Center Brentwood being part of the fabric of this community,” said Granbery.

“It’s great to see one of our buildings move from plan to reality. In this case, since this building will be our new home, it’s especially gratifying,” said Cowan.

“Hill Center Brentwood is a ground-breaking project for Brentwood and one of the most significant commercial projects Turner has undertaken during our 41 years of operation in Middle Tennessee,” said Gromos. “Like everything developed by H.G. Hill Realty, this multi-use campus of retail and office buildings will be a vibrant and welcoming place. We are honored to have been chosen to build such a landmark structure.”

Part of the first phase of the multi-phase project, the building will offer both retail and office space. Retail and restaurant tenants previously announced are The Cosmetic Market and YEAH! BURGER.
