Turner provided construction management at risk services for the 129,000 sq. ft. Health Sciences and Technology Center at Ohlone College. The new stand-alone campus, situated on an 81-acre greenfield site, consists of a two-story building with four distinct wings. Classrooms and teaching laboratories support programs in nursing, physical therapy, computer science, environmental sciences, multi-media, broadcasting, and biotechnology. Community space includes a learning resource center, student service center, bookstore, and cafeteria. The project achieved LEED Platinum certification and is the first Green campus in the nation. Multiple sustainable elements were incorporated in the design and construction, including a 600KW photovoltaic flat panel installation, a ground geo-coil loop cooling system, energy recovery systems, and water efficient irrigation design.
