Birney Elementary School

Nurturing Minds Inspiring Futures

Birney Elementary School is a new 55,000 sq. ft., one-story building on the west border of an 8.68-acre property. The project scope included four classroom wings connected to a learning commons, with the wings organized so classrooms can expand into a flexible shared learning space and adjacent courtyards. Outdoor play areas sit on the north end of the property. Birney students remained in the existing building during construction. The School can accommodate 550 students and is designed to accommodate grades Pre-K through fifth. It also incorporates a regional deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) program.
