The South of Main “SoMa” Site 3 building is a 14-story 300,000 sq. ft. high-rise laboratory and office tower addition, and historic renovation of the existing five-story 238 Main Building, also known as the “clocktower building”. Renovation scope included abatement, gut demo, structural slab removal and reinforcement, and historic window replacement. The tower features a glass curtainwall façade and a central atrium connects the original building to the new lab tower. Turner also completed the fitouts for four major lab / research tenants, including BlueRock, Lab Central, Beam, and Bayer. This building received LEED Gold certification.
