McKesson Corporation Global Headquarters Interior Fit-Out

State-of-the-Art

The interior transformation of McKesson Corporation's Regional Office involved the demolition and build-back of 525,000 sq. ft. of office space across 16 full floors. This cutting-edge Class-A office environment now boasts open floor layouts, contemporary workspaces, conference rooms equipped with advanced audio-visual capabilities, premium finishes, a dedicated training center, a spacious town-hall meeting area accommodating 400 individuals, multiple break rooms, a fully-equipped café, a dining hall, and a technology bar. Additionally, each department within the office has been uniquely designed with its distinctive theme and identity, evident in everything from the paint colors to the architectural elements and angles.

Human Health and Wellness

McKesson’s regional campus – of which the Turner-led fit-out is one part –LEED Gold certification. It also has a WELL Building Silver certification; the first building standard focused solely on human health and wellness. With those objectives, the building is designed to support employee productivity, health, and wellness, empowering people to work how they like, fostering team collaboration, and offering an array of amenities and enhanced technology capabilities.

For example, an impressive 99% of workstations have natural light and a view of the outdoors, the walk-in tech bar provides convenient, direct IT support to all employees, the dining hall and café feature diverse, healthy, and sustainable food options, and the 4,000 sq. ft. fitness center, yoga studio, and landscaped walking trails support employee well-being and promote a healthy, active lifestyle.

Wellness-oriented sustainable features

Wellness-oriented sustainable features

In addition to those, and other wellness-oriented sustainable features, McKesson has incorporated several technical green features, notably a sophisticated lighting control system called EnlightED. Research has demonstrated the conservation benefits of this type of system, under which each light fixture has its control sensor and a range of monitoring capabilities such as heat mapping, daylight harvesting, and dimming memories.
