Concord-Carlisle High School services students in workspaces and facilities designed to meet the needs of learning for the 21st century. This state-of-the-art, 240,000 sq. ft. four-story facility has a high focus on utilizing sustainable design strategies to ensure that the new building is both economically and environmentally efficient to operate and maintain. 2% of the reimbursement from the MSBA is for incorporating sustainable elements based on the Massachusetts Collaborative for High Performance Schools (MA-CHPS) standard. The school includes two gymnasiums, a 600-seat auditorium, photography lab, a library, sound-proof rooms, robotics and science labs, and three atriums to allow for natural light. The project achieved MA-CHPS Verified Leader status, which places Concord-Carlisle High School among the greenest public schools in the state. This project was constructed under Massachusetts General Law 149a.
