Cuyahoga Community College Metro Campus Center Renovation

LEED Gold Renovation

The Metropolitan Campus for Cuyahoga Community College fully renovated an existing, three-story, 110,000-square-foot building that connects to the existing north and south concourses at the lower courtyard level. The existing two vertical circulation cores at the north and south sides of the building were demolished. The building skin, flooring, ceilings, electrical, plumbing, HVAC distribution, etc. were demolished down to the structure. The existing HVAC rooftop equipment was relatively new and was augmented with new equipment to provide for the additional volume of the new construction. The existing north, south and east sunken courtyard was flled to provide a new vehicular drop-off and pedestrian entry plaza connected to 30th Street. A drop-off lane was developed on 30th Street to provide short-term parking, as well as valet service for large events. This project is LEED Gold certified.
