Charlotte Douglas International Airport Concourse A Renovation

Zero Impact to the Operations of Concourse A During Construction

The 54,000 sq. ft. project included a complete renovation of floor, wall and ceiling finishes on ticket level throughout the Concourse. This project was completed alongside active spaces. Turner constantly maintained full accessibility to these spaces while also upgrading them and other features of the concourse.

Coordination was key for the success of this project

In order to maintain operations within the concourse throughout construction the project was phased. The project also included upgrades to fire sprinkler system, HVAC and fire alarm systems on ticket and ramp levels, expansion of the building in two locations totaling approximately 5,000 sq. ft., relocation of two passenger boarding bridges, revised ramp pavement markings, and a jet fuel line and jet fuel pit installation on the ramp.
