Lathrop Construction named a Top Work Place for 2016 by the Toledo Blade

February 08, 2016

Lathrop was recently named a Top Work Place for 2016 by the Toledo Blade, which ranks local organizations based on the results of an employee satisfaction survey.

“What’s significant about this award is that it is based on our employees input and responses to the survey,” said Steve Johnson, president of Lathrop.

According to the survey, the qualities that make an organization attractive to employees reflected a strong alignment between Turner’s vision and values.  Engaged employees consistently rank the following as the main reasons they love where they work: the organization sets a clear direction for its future, executes well and has a culture of high performance, and creates strong connections between employees and the company by showing appreciation and bringing meaning to work.

“Each of these areas is important to me personally, and is a priority for our senior management,” Steve added. “As a management team we can provide the foundations for the list above, but it takes great people to fulfill and deliver on it. This is often the missing piece that prevents a good company from being great.  The hard work our staff does for their families, for each other as co-workers, for our clients, and for our communities means we all have a lot to be proud of.” ?
