Turner Awarded Two Projects in India

December 15, 2015

Turner recently won two projects in India with Piramal Realty: Piramal Vaikunth and Piramal Agastya Park.

Piramal Vaikunth is a mixed use development, primarily residential, master planned and designed by HOK out of Chicago. The development is spread over 32 acres with a potential of two million square feet, across five clusters, in Thane city. Piramal Realty is currently developing Cluster 1 (1.06 million square feet), which will include three 28-story residential towers with six podium levels and two basement levels for parking, as well as a six-story community center.

Piramal Agastya Business Park is planned to be a high-end iconic commercial development located on LBS Marg, one of the busiest roads at Kurla, Mumbai. The proposed development will have a total built up area of approximately two million square feet and is divided into two phases. The initial award is for Phase 1 only, with an approximate built up area of 1.42 million square feet. The project consists of three buildings: two at three levels above ground and one at six levels above ground, with two basement levels.

The project director for both the jobs, Mr. Michael Scott, said, “Piramal Realty’s project approach is built on the foundation of integrity, trust and transparency, which aligns favorably with Turner’s beliefs and processes of managing a project." He added that Piramal’s focus as an owner is people-centric with a vision of developing green and sustainable spaces in India. With this common goal, Turner intends to partner with Piramal in the future.
