Columbus Metropolitan Library’s Driving Park Branch Opening Ceremony

July 13, 2014

The new Columbus Metropolitan Library's Driving Park branch opened its doors on Saturday July 12th. The opening ceremony featured stilt walkers, a magic show and music from the Columbus Saints Drums & Bugle Corps, as well as remarks from city officials, including Mayor Michael Coleman.  Twenty-five members of the project assisted in cutting the ribbon, including Turner's own Tony Moeller. The branch’s new computers, homework help centers, children’s area, meeting rooms and partnership with Columbus State Community College will make the space a place for growth not only for the children utilizing the resources, but in the community as a whole.
