In an informal
ceremony, Turner team members, joint-venture design partners, Middle Tennessee
State University Board members and Tennessee Board of Regents officials watched
as the final beam – painted with the Turner and Middle Tennessee State logos –
was set in place atop the latest addition to Middle Tennessee State University’s
campus.
The building, scheduled to open in
the spring of 2015, is a 250,000-square-foot classroom and laboratory facility,
which includes collaborative learning spaces, teaching labs, and both student
and faculty research space. With the combined square-footage of its two original
science buildings at only 75,000 square feet, the additional facility more than
triples the University’s space for science education.
