Turner to Build Westchester Medical Center Patient Care Tower

The Company was selected to build new healthcare project, the Westchester Medical Center Patient Care Tower in Valhalla, New York.

Turner Construction Company has secured a contract to build a $186 million Patient Care Tower on Westchester Medical Center’s Valhalla, New York campus.

Construction is set to begin at the end of 2023 and will result in the addition of 96 hospital beds to serve patients needing trauma care, neurosciences, cardiology, and general surgery. The additional beds will increase patient care capacity and enhance training for medical residents and students. The project will also boost the local economy, providing 250 construction jobs and 127 full-time jobs in the completed facility.  

The five-story tower will enable the hospital to enhance care and comfort as all inpatient rooms will be private, and ICU rooms will have windows to let in natural light.

The 162,000 square foot facility is planned to open in First Quarter 2026.
