Turner Carolinas was the Title Sponsor for the 2022 Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week, a week dedicated to celebrating honoring outstanding minority, women-owned and small businesses and the agencies and individuals who support a diverse marketplace.
From October 10th – 14th, Turner Carolinas participated in workshops for minority, women-owned and small businesses, the business expo event, and the MED Week Awards luncheon. Turner Carolinas General Manager Drew Kelleher gave opening remarks to kick off the luncheon.
Over 50 UBE’s participated in the business expo and have shared their interest in working on Turner projects. All of the businesses met have been given pre-qualification links to get the process started and will go through follow-up meetings.
At the Awards Luncheon that wrapped up the week, Community & Citizenship Manager, Alexis Kondratyk was nominated for Diversity Advocate of the year and Turner Carolinas was awarded Workforce Development Champion of the year!
“MED Week was my first real test since joining the team at Turner Carolinas and I feel like I’ve gotten a good handle of it,” said Alexis Kondratyk. “I am definitely looking forward to deepening my connections with the community and seeing what else C&C at the Carolinas business unit will accomplish.”
