Turner is providing construction management services for the $25-million, 95,000-square foot Shelby County Health Department. The facility will include exam rooms with nurse-support stations, laboratories, and administrative spaces.

The three-story facility features a contemporary design - enclosed on the west, north, and east sides by metal panel cladding with aluminum and glass storefront openings. The southern façade at level one features an aluminum and glass curtainwall, which forms a gallery with the main entry at the east end and a secondary entry at the west. With corridor walls and doors made of glass, natural light will reach the interior core of the facility. A monumental stair, showcased in the gallery space, connects levels one through three.

The facility's state-of-the-art design incorporates elements that promote healthy living and welcome congregation, while ensuring circulation.
