Turner is committed to creating and sustaining a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment where people actively care for each other. We want every person at Turner and every person who steps onto a Turner site to truly believe that they are contributing to something extraordinary.

At Turner our differences are celebrated and our common values unite us. We want our people to lead with empathy are increasing our knowledge of issues such as unconscious bias, racism, and privilege. This understanding will make us better.

We accept our responsibility to promote the right, safe and inclusive environment. It all starts with active caring. When we actively care and respect others, we all have a sense of belonging. 

Our diversity, equity and inclusion work is geared to making sustainable change to support our goals and is focused on the following four areas:

  • Advancement, Advocacy, Mentoring, and Strategic Placement: Create equitable advancement for diverse employees through intentional advancement, sponsorship, mentoring, and strategic placement. 
  • Education and Learning: Ensure equitable access to development opportunities for career advancement.
  • Jobsite Climate: Ensure Turner jobsites are free from discrimination or harassment and that every person is treated with dignity and respect.
  • Recruiting: Increase recruitment of diverse employees, as interns, college recruits and experienced hires.

Our 80 Employee Resource Groups foster this feeling of belonging and provide members a collective voice in recruiting and professional development of all staff. Turner’s networks include Mosaic (Black, Hispanic, Asian), Women’s, Veterans, Young Professionals, Parents, and Pride. These networks support more than 3,000 members of the Turner organization.



We are examining all of our internal processes through a lens of equity and inclusion to ensure that our recruiting, hiring, promotion and talent management practices are fair, consistent and accessible to all. We want to reflect the diverse communities in which we live and build. We are working to ensure that every employee has equal paths to advancement and that we have equal representation at all levels of the company.

We are building a culture where all employees feel valued, are safe from discrimination, intimidation, and bias. Our goal is that we have an inclusive work environment where people feel physically and emotionally safe. We will speak out and take action against injustice and have zero tolerance for hate, bigotry, discrimination, harassment, bias, intimidation. We have implemented protocols to swiftly and consistently respond to any potential issue that may arise.
