For more than 40 years, Turner has offered the Turner School of Construction Management.

In the company's Portland office, the seven-week course is specifically geared toward certified minority and women owned businesses. The course is offered at no cost to the participants and is taught by Turner staff. Classes focus on various aspects of business, including marketing, business planning, banking, financials, estimating, scheduling, daily operations, managing risk, safety, managing human capital, and working with public works agencies.

The time also serves as an opportunity to develop mentoring relationships and partnerships. The Portland chapter of the Turner School of Construction Management has seen more than 360 graduates from local businesses.

Classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday from 4pm-6pm at the Portland Community College CLIMB Center. The next class will be held Fall 2019.
