Turner’s commitment to our local communities directly impacts the following key areas:

Partnerships with Minority- and Women-Owned Businesses (MWBEs)

Turner partners with MWBE’s through direct involvement with the Mid-South Minority Business Council (MMBC) Continuum and Turner School of Construction Management. This is an ongoing commitment Turner makes to support these businesses on a local level in very tangible ways. Since 2006, Turner has partnered with the MMBC Continuum to train and develop contracting firms with a focus on growing their business. The program is designed to prepare small, minority and women-owned contractors for contract procurement opportunities in the Memphis area. The program seeks to enhance the technical, administrative and managerial skills of minority- and women-owned businesses to help them make a profit and build a reputation within the industry. Individuals enrolled in the program gain insights and meaningful tools that help them target their business for quality and growth and develop new, strategic business relationships.

Employee Involvement

Across Tennessee and in Memphis, Turner employees are contributing time and talent to make their communities better places to live and reflect Turner’s focus on good citizenship. Our Youth Force 2020 program, our active engagement in the ACE Mentor program, and our work with Rebuilding Together all result from this commitment to responsible corporate citizenship.
