Turner Selected for 2015 Pillar Award for General Contractor of the Year

March 28, 2016

The Regional Hispanic Contractor’s Association (RHCA) recently recognized Turner’s dedication to community engagement and partnerships, presenting the company with their 2015 Pillar Award for General Contractor of the Year.

I’m proud of this accomplishment, which reflects Turner’s long-term commitment to supporting local small businesses and creating opportunities to facilitate their success,” said Navaz Porbandarwala, procurement manager. “It is also a particular achievement for Dallas, where the RHCA is the largest MBE organization in the area.”

This is the second consecutive year Turner has been honored with the award, which celebrates the organization that has had the largest economic effect on the area’s M/WBE subcontractor community while maintaining the highest levels of safety, quality and sustainability.

Looking ahead, Navaz added, “We’ve got another strong year of programming ahead, with 65 individuals from 45 companies registered for the Turner School of Construction Management, as well as a number of other planned programs. These programs help strengthen Turner’s talent pipeline, as well as the standards of entire industry, by developing the skills of small business owners and improving the competitiveness of their companies.”
