Making a Difference

Charting a Strong Future for Turner’s Community and Inclusion Efforts

Turner is committed to a diverse and inclusive environment in which our differences are celebrated, and our common values unite us. The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Community team has three primary focus areas: Diverse Pipeline, Inclusive Culture, and External Community. This structure builds upon existing strengths, increases collaboration and connectivity across Turner, and forges a pathway to do more innovative and robust work. This strategy and approach will leverage the tremendous talent and passion of our people.

Building a Diverse Pipeline
We will reflect the communities in which we build by 2030 and will increase efforts to attract and retain diverse talent to do so. Charles Stewart, Vice President, is leading this effort by working with business units across the company to increase diverse recruiting.

In his role, Charles is building on his passion for diversity, inclusion, and recruiting by leading a national focus on developing enduring relationships with diverse colleges and universities, building and sustaining pre-college initiatives for diverse students, and growing our diverse pipeline. Charles does this work to make our company better for the next generation, including for his daughter who is currently establishing her own career with Turner.

Building an Inclusive Culture
We will achieve an inclusive culture where all employees feel valued and have equal paths to advancement. Lisa Moving, Vice President, is leading internal-facing inclusion and equity efforts, partnering with senior leadership and human resources to identify areas of improvement and build sustainable solutions to change our culture long-term.

Lisa is leading internal strategy for diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts within the company in support of employee growth, performance management, training, mentoring and advocacy, and helping to operationalize the thought leadership of the Inclusion Action Committee. She is serving as an employee advocate and working in partnership with business unit leadership, human resources, and the employee resource groups to champion inclusion and equity across the company.

Making a Difference in the Community
We are making a difference in the communities in which we live and build. Working with the seasoned professionals in Turner’s Community & Citizenship (C&C) team, Fuquan Collins, Vice President, Community and Citizenship, is leading strategies and programs in Underrepresented Business Entity outreach, Workforce Development, Youth Engagement, and Community Service. Fuquan is also supporting Turner’s external Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategies on joint venture partnerships with minority firms and jobsite climate initiatives for our industry partners and the trades.
