project at a glance

The 191,000 square foot renovation of the University of Houston Fertitta Center was designed to transform the arena into a state-of-the-art collegiate sports facility, creating an improved experience for fans, student-athletes, coaches, staff, and students. It also serves as a tool for recruitment of top athletic talent.

Enhancements to the concourse include large lobbies that provide visual connectivity from outside the building and into the seating bowl, concession stands, and flexible gathering spaces. The seating bowl was reconfigured to provide more premium seats and floor-level seating. The center also contains video boards, and an upgraded audio system.

The building's exterior creates a true sense of arrival for visitors with features such as concrete panels, curtain-wall with back-lit panels, an updated VIP entrance tunnel with LED rail lighting, and an additional recreational outdoor seating areas.
