A medical research facility, the Colket Translational Research Building is part of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s South Campus project. This project is an extension of the site preparation phase also performed by Turner.
Phase 1 is a four-story steel frame building with an ancillary Central Utilities Plant that supported the initial fit-out spaces included in Phase 2 (also built by Turner). Our scope included major infrastructure work such as excavation, rerouting of major utilities, and soil remediation within a tight urban site. A shared, below-ground link, Phase I houses support functions and laboratories. Phase 1 is a LEED Silver Certified project.
