Turner's Huntsville Office Buildout

Turner is building a 7,000 square foot office building to serve as an office for Turner’s personnel in its Huntsville, Alabama location. The building has been designed for versatility and future expansion with most of the space being used as open offices, flexible meeting spaces, large conference rooms, and smaller huddle rooms to facilitate team collaboration. The administrative space also includes a lobby, some internal private offices, a kitchen, and restrooms. The area above the private offices will serve as a mezzanine for additional open offices. The office design incorporates large glass storefront around the perimeter. The front exterior skin is a mix of metal panels and storefront. The use of metal panels and storefront for the office area provides a sleek and contemporary appearance from the street.

The facility includes a 15,000 square foot, fabrication shop with 24 foot ceilings. The shop is attached to the office and administrative areas—for a total of 22,000 square feet of functional space—and will be used for fabrication of miscellaneous metals, welding, equipment maintenance, and equipment storage. The use of a pre-engineered metal building system for the shop space provides a low cost option for this large open area. The shop will include offices for Turner’s Self Perform Operations group which provides Turner clients with self-performed services. The shop facility will also include restrooms, and a break area. The shop space is designed to be open, efficient, and adaptable. The idea of locating the shop directly behind the offices, gives Turner greater efficiencies in manpower and allows for all of Turner Huntsville’s resources to be in one building.
