Turner provided the City University of New York (CUNY) with management services for the core and shell construction of Medgar Evers College’s School of Science, Health and Technology (SSH&T). The 195,000 square foot state-of-the-art building features two multi-million dollar core research facilities in the areas of cellular-molecular biology and chemical analysis. Completed in 2010, the project was completed under a joint-venture agreement between Turner and McKissack & McKissack, a M/WBE certified firm.

Contained within the 5-story teaching facility are 13 general classrooms, 16 teaching labs (biology, mathematics, nursing physical environment and computer sciences), 5 computer labs, and a 350-seat dining hall with adjoining kitchen. To ensure the project’s overall success, the project team mitigates existing field conditions and site constraints through diligent task pre-planning.
