Turner provided construction management services for the renovation of the former Strand Theatre in downtown Brooklyn. The facility is now home to two non-profit arts organizations, BRIC Arts | Media House and UrbanGlass.
The project was conducted with Turner's supervision and Lean oriented methods. The renovated 268,000 square foot multi-disciplinary arts and media complex features a double height theater and lobby, a double height contemporary art gallery, retail space, television studios, classrooms, artists’ studios, media and educational programs. The scope of work also included the complete renovation of the existing third floor glass working facility and the restoration and enhancement of the building’s façade.
