Exhibitor (Show) Service Manual
GES will provide and distribute exhibitor service kits in our PDF or CD packaging. The kits will be sent out through the US mail service or UPS ground. Exhibitors are encouraged to take advantage of extended discount ordering through GES Online.
About GES
GES will maintain a GES Servicenter, which will serve as the focal point in the coordination of all details during the entire period or installation and dismantle of the convention and will function as the supply center for the following services:
- Furnishings rental (tables, risers, modular, upholstered furniture, drapes, etc.)
- Complete sign service
- Exhibit labor
- Drayage information and service
- Audio visual
- Arrangements for models, Photography, Floral, etc.
- Porter service and Electrical service
GES Online Ordering
GES Online Ordering will be established to allow exhibitors to place orders for goods and services via the internet. Upon reservation confirmation, exhibitors will be given a code either by broadcast fax or through the printed Exhibitor Service Manual that allows you access to GES Online from the GES website.
Labor Jurisdictions - Los Angeles
GES hires trade professionals to handle all installation and removal aspects.
Decorator Union: Members of this union claim jurisdiction over all set-up and dismantling of exhibits including signs and laying carpet. This does not apply to the unpacking and placement of merchandise. Exhibitors may set-up their exhibit display if one person can accomplish the task in less than one-half (1/2) hour without the use of tools. If the exhibit preparation, installation, or dismantling requires more than one-half (1/2) hour, exhibitors must use personnel supplied by the Official Decorating Contractor. However, please not that when union labor is required, exhibitors may provide company personnel to work along with union installer in Southern California on a one-to-one basis.
Teamster Union: Members of this local claims jurisdiction on the operation of all members handling equipment, all unloading and reloading, and handling of empty containers. An exhibitor may move material that is hand carried by one person in one trip, without the use of dollies, hand trucks or other mechanical equipment.
Note: Our work Rules prohibit the SOLICITATION AND/OR ACCEPTANCE of tips by any of our employees. Our employees are paid excellent hourly wages denoting a professional status and tipping is not allowed.

As the official freight carrier for air, ground, van line and international shipments, GES Logistics offers your exhibitors the ability to receive a lower material handling rate when they utilize GES Logistics for both their inbound and outbound shipments.
