This projected included demolition of existing Palmer Stadium (40,000 seats) including foundations and program areas and construction of a new 27,500 seat football/soccer stadium with a capacity to expand to 30,000 seats including concession, new toilet rooms, a 7,000 sq. ft. press box and lounge area, administrative spaces, and a 2,500 seat track facility.
The stadium is predominantly an architectural precast concrete structure with structural steel components upon spread footing foundations. Lower level seating is cast-in-place concrete and upper level seating is precast concrete.
