The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center's Public Health Sciences division houses the nation's first and largest program devoted to cancer prevention research.
This project is a five-story office building that serves the biostatistial, epidemiological, and prevention research conducted at the Center. The facility also includes 20,000 gr. sq. ft. of lab space.

The Building is structural concrete with post tension decks, and a combination of brick, glass, and metal panels creating the façade. There is a single floor of structural steel to accommodate added flexibility required for the ever-changing lab conditions. The interior features a sophisticated helical stair in a full height atrium that not only connects one floor to another but acts as a bridge from one side of the building to the other. A skylight system tops the atrium allowing all the rooms facing the atrium to be filling with ambient light.
