Albany Office Participates in Wear Red Day

February 17, 2016

??Turner’s Albany office recently participated in the American Heart Association’s Wear Red Day, which is part of their broader Go Red for Women initiative to raise awareness about the risks of heart disease and stroke. This was Albany’s 10th year getting decked out for the day, which participants feel is an important expression of Turner’s broad commitment to employee health and wellbeing.

"At Turner, we strive to provide information that helps our people make the right choices when it comes to their health,” said Edie Crist, human resources manager. “Since it’s possible to have a serious condition like heart disease, or the early warning signs of stroke, without experiencing obvious symptoms, it is important to take action by having regular check-ups and educating your loved ones on the risks we all face. Help me—and Turner—spread the word!”

The American Heart Association reports that heart disease and stroke kill one in three women, yet they are 80 percent preventable. Go Red for Women is dedicated to raising awareness of heart health in women, and to helping people identify the signs.
