April 01, 2016

Turner Construction Company, in partnership with the Associated General Contractors of Colorado, recently held a graduation ceremony for 34 graduates of the Turner School of Construction Management.

Turner has held the ten-week course, which is offered free of charge to small business owners, in particular minority- and women-owned businesses in the greater Denver area, for the last 16 years. Sessions are facilitated by Turner instructors or other industry professionals, and topics include

green building, project delivery systems, estimating/procurement, virtual design and construction tools, scheduling, accounting, field operations, safety, and marketing.

“Thank you so much for taking the time to hold this class for us.  It shows Turner is interested in building relationships with M/WBE companies.” – Denita Bailey, Build Life Construction

The Turner School of Construction Management is the oldest community outreach program in Turner’s history. Initiated in 1969 in the Cleveland office, it's now offered in more than 30 Turner offices.
