Turner Construction Company, the nation’s leading general builder, in a joint venture with TB Penick & Sons, Inc., has been awarded a $104 million design-build contract by the United States Marine Corps to construct four Bachelor Enlisted Quarters (BEQ) at Camp Pendleton, California. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2011.

The four residences will house over 1,300 Marines and will include multi-purpose community areas, laundry facilities, high-tech training facilities and outdoor amphitheaters.

“We are proud to continue our relationship with the United States Marine Corps and serve as part of the design-build team to construct this important project at Camp Pendleton to benefit our country’s enlisted Marines,” said Jamie Awford, Vice President and General Manager of Turner’s San Diego operations.
