Turner Interiors recently provided construction services for the 125,000 sq. ft. raised-floor interior tenant fit-out of Holland & Knight LLP’s law offices in the recently completed Dearborn Center building.

Designed by Atlanta-based ASD Architects and located on three and a half floors, this highly finished fit-out included a two-floor atrium, the atrium reception area and conference rooms. The 30th floor atrium and reception area are surrounded by floor to ceiling custom Bubinga wood paneling and Fire Lite glass with TGP framing. A bridge also spans the atrium, which is met by a communicating staircase and a fossil brown stone flooring. A blue marble wall decoration highlights the atrium.

The project also included a separate conference area with rotating framed glass panels (above right) and is decorated with a Decoustics ceiling and offices with Skyline pattern sidelights, Knoll Imago ceiling tile, Zolatone paint, and Venetian plaster finish.

The project was particularly interesting and challenging in that there is no external ductwork. All air flow and electrical wiring was run under the floor. This required seamless coordination between Turner Interiors, ASD Architects and the base builders and a continuous attention to cleanliness.
