Mayor Ballard Applauds Redevelopment of The Georgetown
Indianapolis, Ind., November 20, 2008 - Indianapolis Mayor Ballard and over 150 guests gathered to celebrate the grand opening of The Georgetown, a redveloped housing complex. In 2006, the City gave the site to the Indianapolis Housing Authority and in turn the Partners for Affordable Housing redeveloped the property. The rehabilitation project called for the joint venture team of Turner-Davis to completely renovate the facility, converting 103 units in nine townhouse buildings into 90 separate apartments. Thirty-seven of the units will be used for public housing with five of the units for transitional housing for the homeless.
